La Torre sits under what was once the estate’s private bell tower — the mechanism was removed decades ago, but the beamed ceiling still follows its shape, sloping from just over two metres to nearly four at the room’s centre.
The trade-off for the stairs (there’s no lift to this floor) is privacy and light: two sets of shuttered windows on opposite walls keep the room cool and bright without ever facing directly into another building.
